|Browser - Internet Explorer 11||Internet Explorer 11 font issue||IE11 will not load custom fonts when navigating directly to pages in Blackboard via the address bar or bookmarks. To learn more, see Internet Explorer 11 font issue|
|Browser - Internet Explorer 11||Unable to attach files using Internet Explorer 11||Users are unable to attach files to content items when using Internet Explorer 11. To learn more, see Unable to attach files using Internet Explorer 11|
|Browser - Safari 11.1||Unable to submit content using Safari 11.1||[RESOLVED 15th of July, 2018]
Users on the latest version of the Safari web browser, version 11.1, may have issues submitting UTSOnline content. To learn more including available workarounds, see the Unable to submit content using Safari 11.1 known issues help page.
|Browser zoom level||Even if scroll bar is displayed user unable to scroll||While in the Global Navigation Menu, My Grades section, data queued and displayed in the viewing window is sometimes truncated. Meaning that even if the scroll bar is displayed, using it will not allow you to scroll all the way down to see all of the data. Also, depending on the zoom percentage used in the browser, the scroll bar sometimes does not display at all.|
|Content type - audio||Audio auto-plays in Chrome||Creating an Audio content item in a UTSOnline site will auto-play in Google Chrome even when set to not auto-play. To learn more including workarounds, see the Audio auto-play issue help page.|
|Context menus||Unable to open context menu in Google Chrome||Context menu buttons will sometimes be unresponsive in UTSOnline when using Google Chrome. To learn more including workarounds, see the Unable to open context menu in Google Chrome help page.|
|Line break issue||Emails sent via the Send Email tool ignores line breaks. To learn more including available workarounds, see the Line break issue known issues help page.|
|Email from firstname.lastname@example.org||Email received through UTSOnline shows sender email address as well as email@example.com in the ‘From’ field. To learn more including available workarounds, see the Email from firstname.lastname@example.org known issues help page.|
|LaTex Editor||LaTex Content is not rendered automatically||The LaTex expression is not converted automatically and retains its LaTeX origin.|
|MyGrades||Opening the Last Graded view in the MyGrades tool generates an error||If a gradable item has a max point value that specifies decimal digits like 1.5, the Last Graded view in the My Grades tool throws an error.|
|UTS Batch Group Enrolment tool||Subject Coordinator unable to use "UTS Batch Enrolment" tool link||Subject Coordinator redirected to UTSOnline Home Page when clicking on "UTS Batch Group Enrolment" tool link|
|Completion Certificate||Date on Completion Certificate||The date printed on the completion certificate is the current date when the certificate is printed. This can be a little misleading if someone prints the certificate months after the module was completed. The suggested workaround for this is to edit the certificate to change the text next to the date to “Date certificate generated”.|
|Content Area||Unable to Reorder Assignment Content Items||This issue is caused by null position numbers. You can often resolve it yourself by doing one of the following:
Use the Keyboard Reordering button in the upper-right side of the page
Click the Chevron of one item > click "move" > move to another content area > then move it back

|Blackboard Assignment inline document viewer||Comments in the inline document viewer are partially hidden||Comments that were created in the old Crocodoc inline document viewer are chopped off by the right margin. |Blackboard Assignment inline document viewer||Document does not open in the inline document viewer||When opening an assignment submission in the inline document viewer, the “file is being converted” message appears instead of the document. |Blackboard Assignment inline document viewer||Document does not load in Safari||The Safari web browser will not load the inline document viewer pane|
|Blackboard Assignment inline document viewer||Original draft version is displayed in a Blackboard Assignment rather than the latest submission||An Instructor or student may incorrectly download and view the draft version instead of the latest submission. |Blackboard Group Assignment||Deleting groups linked to group assignment results in inaccessible assignment submission||If an instructor deletes a UTSOnline group that is currently linked to a group assignment, all instructors will not be able to access graded assignment submission made by other groups. Other groups' submission that are not yet graded will be accessible through "Grade Centre" - "Needs Marking" menu link. However, once these are marked, they will not be accessible through the grade centre.|
|Blackboard Group Assignment||Error message displayed as "Failed to submit Assignment. Please try again" while submitting group assignment||If a Group has a member who is no longer enrolled in the subject, then any other member of the Group attempting to submit a Group Assignment will result in an error as"Failed to submit Assignment. Please try again". However, the attempt is submitted, though no receipt is generated in the system.|
|Inline grading in Bb Grader app||Error when opening assignment submission in Bb Grader||Instructors may encounter an error when opening a Blackboard Assignment submission in the Bb Grader app after the 14th of January, 2018. |Turnitin Assignment submission||Gradebook error when submitting an assignment||Students might receive the following error when submitting their assignment to Turnitin: "The paper was submitted successfully to Turnitin, but the Blackboard Gradebook was not modified. |Turnitin Assignment submission||Turnitin submission error - An unusual number of excessively long or short words||Students might receive the following error when submitting their assignment to Turnitin: "The paper you have submitted seems to have an unusual number of excessively long or short words. Please try changing your font and submitting again or contact our help desk if the problem persists". |Turnitin Assignment Download||Bulk download issue||Bulk downloading Turnitin assignments through subject tools in control panel is resulting in invalid zip folder or timeout error in the browser. To learn more, see Bulk download issue
|Blackboard Assignment marking||Missing equation content when marking assignment||An Instructor or Marker cannot see the complete contents of an assignment submission when the submission contains content created using Microsoft Word's Equation tool. |Quiz attempt score visibility||Cannot hide the Quiz attempt score from students||Students can see their quiz attempt score after submitting their quiz attempt even when an Instructor has configured the quiz settings to prevent students from viewing their score. |Quiz options||Opening the Test Options page generates an error||When opening the Edit The Test Options page for your quiz, you may receive a "Load group members failed. Blogs, Journals and Wikis *
|Blackboard Blogs and Journals||Unable to open file attachments with a specific filename||Unable to open file attachments in a Blackboard Blog/Journal post that contains an ampersand or semicolon character in the filename. |Group Blackboard Journals||Group journals are visible to all enrolled students in a UTSOnline site||When a Blackboard Journal is enabled in a group, the default setting is to allow all students enrolled in the UTSOnline site, not just the group, to view that journal. Campus Pack *
|Creating Campus Pack content||Subject Coordinator unable to create and configure Campus Pack content||[FIX IDENTIFIED 8th of May, 2019]
Subject coordinators are unable to create or edit existing Campus Pack content in their UTSOnline subject site due to insufficient privileges. For more information including a workaround, refer to the Subject Coordinator unable to create and configure Campus Pack content known issues help page.
Grade Centre *
|Results||Survey results downloaded file issue||Survey results can be downloaded by navigating to survey's column in the Grade Centre and selecting Download Results option from the contextual menu. When using Google Chrome, downloaded file does not have a file extension. To learn more, see Survey results downloaded file issue help page.|
|Scroll bar navigation||Grade Centre scroll bars not displayed||On Mac OSX 10.7 or newer under default system settings, the horizontal scroll bar in the Grade Centre may not be displayed. To learn more, see Grade Centre scroll bars issue page.|
|Editing a Portfolio||Portfolio instructions do not appear when editing your Portfolio||Staff and students may have issues viewing instructional content when editing their Portfolio. |Portfolio Sharing||Unable to access a Shared Portfolio||When a shared Portfolio link is inserted into a Microsoft Office document such as PowerPoint, clicking on this link generates an error message. |Portfolio Artefacts||Incorrect Rubric display in graded Portfolio Artefacts||When a Portfolio Artefact is created from a Blackboard Assignment submission that has been graded with a Rubric, the embedded Rubric displays an additional CSS comment. The Score is displayed even if the Instructor has set the Assignment to Display Rubric Without Scores. Reporting and Statistics *
|Content Usage Statistics Report||Content Usage Statistics Report issue||Selecting a large number of users may generate a blank report. To learn more including a workaround, see Content Usage Statistics Report issue help page.|
|Statistics Tracking||Statistics Reporting for a content item contains incorrect data||Statistical data for an individual content item is incorrect because data is captured based on a student opening the content area containing the content item, not the content item itself. |Subject Reports||Course Activity and Student Overview for Single Course reports issue||Course Activity and Student Overview for Single Course are displaying no activity data. For more information, refer to the Subject Reports Issue help page.|
|Captivate||Captivate issues with embedded YouTube video||When playing a Captivate YouTube video, part of the video is cropped. For more information, refer to the Captivate issues with embedded YouTube video help page.|
|Student enrolment in SPARK||Chief Instructors in SPARK cannot select the correct UTSOnline subject as an enrolment source||A UTSOnline subject will not appear in the list of source subjects in the UTSOnline Settings page in SPARK. |Cloud Recordings||Zoom cloud recordings are not showing in 'Gallery View'||Zoom meetings with 'Gallery View' settings that are recorded on cloud are showing in 'Active Speaker' view. |Zoom Recordings Folder|
Zoom Recording Folder Missing from cloudstor account
If you are logging in to CloudStor look for your recording in Zoom Recordings Folder, you may not find the folder in some ocassion. You will need to do three test recordings before you can see the "Zoom Recordings" folder in "Shared with You"; all previous recordings will also be available. This is one of the known issue caused in some ocassion to the users account due to known system issue.
If you still cannot find your "Zoom Recordings" folder, please report to Learning and Teaching Systems via Service Connect.
|Uploading Turnitin assignments in Blackboard using Safari||Intermittent issue with students uploading Turnitin assignments in Blackboard when using Safari||Turnitin confirmed that this issue was reported back in January 2019.
