Unable to submit content using Safari 11.1

Affected Users:
All users using version 11.1 of the Safari web browser
Description:
Following the release of the latest version of the Safari web browser version 11.1, users on this version of Safari may encounter an error after clicking on the Submit button in a content item or Blackboard assignment:
“Failed to submit Assignment. Please try again” or “Failed to save Content Item. Please try again” (see image below):

The error will occur only when a file has been attached to the content item within the Attach Files area (see image below):

This issue was resolved on the 15th of July, 2018
Workaround:
Use other supported web browsers such as Firefox or Chrome
