Portfolio instructions do not appear when editing your Portfolio
Affected Users:
Students and staff
Description:
Users have the option of utilising a template when creating a Portfolio. A Portfolio template is used to define a structure and style when creating a Portfolio. Additionally, instructional text can be embedded into the Portfolio template to provide additional guidance for Portfolio authors.
However, when an author opens a Portfolio in Edit mode, the instructional text does not load (see image below):

Missing Portfolio instructions
How it should appear (see image below):

Portfolio instructions
Date reported:

Status:
Active with a known workaround but no fix
Workarounds:
If the instructional text does not appear when opening your Portfolio in Edit mode:
- Go to the Portfolio navigation menu which displays the list of pages and sections in your Portfolio
- Click on a Section on a different Page (from the Page you are currently in) in the Portfolio navigation menu.
- Go back to the Section that had the missing instructions. The instructions should now be visible.
NOTE: It is possible that a Section may not have instructions embedded. You can confirm this by quickly checking other Sections within your Portfolio. If other Sections have instructional content but not the Section in focus, the Section in focus intentionally does not have instructional text.
