Audio auto-play in Chrome browser
This known issue is closed due to the decommissioning of Blackboard on the 31st of August, 2021
Description:
Uploading audio files via the Blackboard Audio tool (see image below) within a UTSOnline site will auto-play in Google Chrome even though set to not play automatically. This is because Chrome will not recognise the auto-play property.
First Reported:

Status:
Active with known workarounds but no fix.
Workaround:
As an Instructor, embed the audio file using the Media tool in a Content Editor. To do this, navigate to a content area in your UTSOnline site, open the Build Content menu, and select Item (see image below). This will open the Create Item page.
In the Create Item page, navigate to the Content Editor and click on the Media icon (see image below). This will open the Insert/Edit Embedded Media window.
In the Insert/Edit Embedded Media window, click on the Type dropdown list, and select HTML5 Audio (see image below). Browse for the audio file then click on the Insert button to embed the audio file to the Item tool.
Or, in the Insert/Edit Embedded Media window, click on the Type dropdown list, and select Embedded Audio (see image below). Browse for the audio file then click on the Insert button to embed the audio file to the Item tool.
