1. Grades Submission Automation – Getting Started
UTS uses an automated end-of-session grades submission process via UTSOnline and Canvas, depending on where the subject is taught. These are instructions for UTSOnline. In a few simple steps, UTSOnline will export results directly from Blackboard’s Grade Centre and into CASS.

As part of the process five columns are added to your subject’s Grade Centre when it is created or rolled over.
Note: Two new columns have been added, as of Summer 2019: SYS_OVERRIDE_MARK, and SYS_OVERRIDE_MARK_GRADE. These allow new functionality. In addition, the previously named SYS_OVERRIDE_GRADE column has been renamed to SYS_EXCEPTION_GRADE, which better reflects its function.
There are some simple steps you need to take at the start of session, and some at the end. Each of these links will take you to detailed instructional walkthroughs, which cover both academic and faculty admin roles. For subject coordinators:

There are additional instructions for Faculty Admin:
If you mark in REVIEW, REVIEW can now push grades directly across to the Grade Centre without the need to export and upload any extra files. For full instructions, check out:
