UTSOnline support options for UTS students *
For all enquiries regarding content in your UTSOnline subject site, your first point of contact is the subject coordinator/lecturer. If you have questions on how to use the different aspects of UTSOnline, please navigate these help pages.
If you have a UTSOnline-related issue, please contact the IT Support Centre.
Subject Outlines *
Access your UTSOnline subject site in the weeks before formal classes begin to access your Subject Outlines. Read it carefully and keep it as a reference. Each subject outline provides vital information needed to successfully pass the subject, including the weekly lecture program, core reading lists, assessment requirements, and correct referencing protocols. It also lists the contact details and available consultation times for key academic contacts.
For instructions on accessing your Subject Outlines, please refer to the Downloading a Subject Outline help page.
Enrolment in UTSOnline subjects *
Student enrolment in UTSOnline subject sites are provisioned prior to the start of the current session. Below is a list of possible scenarios you may encounter when attempting to view your subjects in UTSOnline prior to the start of the teaching period (followed by a response):
- You cannot see any of your UTSOnline subject sites that you are enrolled in for the current session. A majority of UTSOnline subject sites are either unavailable or do not exist until a specified date. When a UTSOnline subject site is unavailable, students will not be able to view it in UTSOnline. To confirm the availability of your subject in UTSOnline, please refer to the Subject Availability page.
- You can see some but not all the UTSOnline subject sites that you are enrolled in for the current session. Although a majority of subjects are made available to students in UTSOnline at a specified date, some Subject Coordinators may want to make their subject available in UTSOnline either at an earlier or later date. If you cannot see your subject in UTSOnline, please refer to the Subject Availability page to confirm the availability of your subject in UTSOnline.
- You can see UTSOnline subject sites that you were enrolled in previously. Students are no longer removed from previously enrolled UTSOnline subject sites. Positive benefits with keeping students enrolled in older UTSOnline subject sites include students doing internships or placements at the end of a session who need to be able to look back over materials when they returned.
- You can see UTSOnline subject sites that do not correspond to a subject that you are enrolled in. UTSOnline sites can be created for other reasons other than teaching. An example of this is the creation of Forums. If you would like to be removed from a particular UTSOnline site, please contact your faculty.
Official Enrolments *
UTSOnline is not the official enrolment system of the University. This means that you might see UTSOnline subject sites that you are not officially enrolled in.
The official enrolment system for UTS is My Student Admin. If you are not officially enrolled in the subject in My Student Admin by the enrolment deadline, then you cannot be enrolled in the subject for the current session.
Please note also that any grades that may be shown in UTSOnline are provisional only.
Please visit My Student Admin if you wish to verify which subjects you are enrolled in for the current semester, or to view your final grades.
Accessing Echo recordings on mobiles *
Users can use the echo360 app on their smart phone or Ipad. It has SSO enabled and will directly take the user to the echo subjects they are enrolled in.
For instructions on accessing your recordings, please refer to the Echo help pages.
